Frequently Asked Questions

We’re a large brick church located at 404 Spruce Street, between West First Street and Chippewa Street. Our main entrance is on West First Street.
Free parking is available at the rear of the church.  Additional free parking is available in two large lots across West First Street. And free street parking surrounds the church area in the residential neighborhood.
We worship in the Sanctuary, which is upstairs to the right as you enter. A ramp is available at the main entrance. An elevator inside the lobby is also available.
No, you will not be asked to stand and identify yourself. We would appreciate it if you would enter your name and address in the red notepads in the pews. Everyone signs these pads, and the staff follows up on the information provided. New faces join us every week, so you won’t be alone.
The invitation to the Lord’s Supper is extended to all who have been baptized, remembering that access to the Table is not a right conferred upon the worthy, but a privilege given to the undeserving who come in faith, repentance, and love.
  By and large, people dress in what makes them feel good and ready to worship.
  There are multiple handicapped parking spots.  If they are full when you arrive, pull up into the curved driveway entrance and ask a greeter to assist you. They will park your car for you if you wish.

The entrance is barrier-free and there are handicapped-accessible bathrooms on all floors. There are two wheelchairs available at the church for use as needed. Headsets are available on request for those who need help hearing. Large-print bibles are also available.

Yes, both services are essentially the same. Everyone will hear the same sermon. If there are any minor differences, they will be noted in the church bulletin that you receive from an usher at the entrance to the sanctuary.
A variety of beverages and food is available in the Fellowship Hall between the two services.
All children are welcome to stay with their family during worship. Children can choose to attend Sunday School, which is offered from mid-September to mid-May starting at 10:00 a.m. Adult Christian Education class is also offered starting at 10:00 a.m.
To worship regularly, to study, to celebrate and to contribute, not just to our church but to our greater community and to our world. Contribute by volunteering, caring for one another, and by donating your time and your talents however you can.
