The Elk Rapids First Presbyterian Church Sanctuary Choir welcomes new members all year long. We sing inspiring anthems and hymns at the 9:30 a.m. service.
Prior vocal or choir experience is not required for participation, but always appreciated.
Wednesday, 4:30 – 6 p.m., Sanctuary
Sunday morning, 7:55 a.m. in the Sanctuary
The choir gathers in winter for a Twelfth Night potluck in January, a picnic in the summer and numerous impromptu frolics.
Director of Music
|Cheryl is a graduate of Oakland University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in vocal music education, grades K – 12. She taught elementary vocal music in the Detroit metropolitan area as well as in northern Michigan. Cheryl is a past choir director at the Traverse City Presbyterian Church. She has been directing the Elk Lake Community Choir for a number of years and has participated in the Elk Rapids Rotary Show as well. Cheryl and her husband, George, live on Elk Lake. They have two daughters and a son living in the immediate area as well as one son residing in Boston.|
